I have a 1994 262 with a large spline 7 pin 3/8 driver and a 18 bar. pulls great.
I have a 1999 261 beater that picked up on the cheap it also has large spline.
I have noticed to different part numbers on the drum and the worm gear drive teeth are different. I have a few 18" .325 pitch bar and chain combs laying around. What are the chances of the 261 being able to pull a 9 pin rim? Or does running the smaller spline sprocket with a pin sound better. The last choice i have is run 3/8 7 pin with a 20". I don't have a lot of bar choices on hand for for small mount. I really don't want put much more in this saw, as I don't plan keeping it maybe.
