I recently ran into a deal on a couple 288's one is a pretty early version I am guessing by serial number plate and has a couple issues. The other is a stone cold runner. Guessing the older one took a fall and it broke the crankcase by where the top rh recoil bolt threads in and where the adjustment screw slides through. Piston is clean and crank is tight so I would hate to waste a saw. Can anybody tell me if all 288 crankcases are the same or if there is an easier one to find as I don't see Husqvarna makes them any more. It's in a bad spot to weld and I'm not a big JB weld crankcase guy.

Here is a photo of the tag. Thanks for any help!
