Husqvarna 359 fuel leak

I filled the 359 up with gas yesterday and it leaked gas all over the tailgate. I figured it was a fuel line but after removing the line I didn't find any cracks. I removed the tank and found that the Check valve or vent had come out of the tank. I stuck it back in biu it seems way to loose to be sealing the gas in. Is this vent supposed to be tight, am I missing an o-ring or something.

They just push in. Try a new vent and tube. If new vent feels loose in tank, use a small chunk of clothes dryer sheet around the plastic vent then push it in the tank. This will allow air to flow yet take up some of the space around the circumference to provide a tight fit.
