Can anyone tell me if this piston looks like it was ran without lubrication? I have lots more photos if needed! This is from a 550xp with <20 hours. Husqvarna is claiming it was lubrication and denying warranty.
2nd image is of the snap rings. This missing part of the snap ring is in the muffler. Or at least it sounds like it when I shake the muffler.
3rd image is another image of piston showing deep gouges.

Yeah, that damage is foreign object not lube related & the obvious prime candidate is your missing circlip end. I'd be chasing warranty

That is exactly what I have thought and have stated to husqvarna warranty. They have been the worst.

Cir clip failure. Nothing to do with lube. Husky is the king of of trying to get out of warranty work.
