I got laid off on the holiday which was the first night I was supposed to work. They didn't want to pay double time. This is a tough job and more for younger men. I've only got 8 months drilling experience, but it's an interesting job, but I much prefer saw work. Which reminds me, I just sold 2 cords and donated one to a worthy cause, even though I have barely any wood myself. Lol

You misunderstood drilling with the boss and drilling the boss?
No, I cant drill the boss because he's on the day shift. My knees are sore as hell though from taking off the bottom end of the core tube. I'll take some pics, it's a nice little drill and were just getting into some good ground at 600 ft.

That's what the GF said, she accused me of blowing the driller. Not so, You have to lay the heavy core tube on the floor and take the back end off with wrenches. I'd rather be kneeling in the snow than on a wooden floor. I'm sore as hell from carrying 60 pound core boxes 200 metres thru the snow and across a creek to the truck. BTW, the northern lights were out last night, maybe tonight too.

No, it's very low security, I've never seen gold in the core, but lots of moly and some green rock that looks like jade. Sometimes you go thru a fault and it's like clay which is hard to knock out of the core barrel. It's alot harder on the body than bush work, but I'm sure I'm struggling more than I have to. I'm supposed to be working 12 hrs/ 7 days a week for at least 8 weeks. I was getting pretty broke up here so I'm glad to have this job.

Thank god they had off sales in town at the bar and my neighbour had some beverages too, so I didn't have to bug the GF as we are cross shifting.

Here's a true story, Stompin Tom sucker punched me after he repeatedly called me a lier when I said I used to hop freight trains in the 70's. We were drinking potatoe skin moonshine which may have had something to do with it.
I basicly told him he wouldn't say **** if he had a mouthful, which preceded the speed bagging. Lol

Ya, I'm kinda thining the herd. I'm too old and lame to be using a real saw these days.
I can't believe it, I just got two calls, one from a vaccum salesman (woke me up) and another from my driller telling me no work tonight because their too cheap to pay a stat holiday!
I'm ready to freakin lose it!
Now, I either have to visit the GF or go buy more beer to entertain here tonight or both.
