Hi, like Woodsman, I have a 41 and have used it for at least half of my firewood duties this year.. it's light, friendly, and reliable. I've used it almost exclusively for small diameter oak (usually 12 inches or smaller) and it has worked just fine. It's no powerhouse, though, so keep the rpms up, keep the chain sharp, and don't lean on it too hard.

1. Keep the Husky - it sounds like it will do you fine for what you stated is your purpose.
2. I advise against a top handled saw for use in the ground or for triming brush - a rear handled saw is more comfortable and safer to use when not climbing.

Because there's dealer support around here, I went with Stihl instead of Husky (Lowe's). I like this MS290. Keep your chain sharp and be safe in your cutting, OK?
