I question if this is really a PM805. All my PM 5.0 cubers have the DSP on the side, by the muffler, with the SP80 & SP81 being on the back of the block.

That is either a Frankensaw or a PM850 (not a Super PM850) with a PM805 AF cover.

My PM800 doesn't have a DSP

Early PM800s did not have the DSP while later ones did. The 8200 also did not have DSP. I believe all others, including the DE80, did. The SP80, SP81, SP81E, and PM850 had DSP on the back; the rest were on the side.

Some do and some don't. Saws without the DSP sometimes have the hole drilled in the muffler bolt hole and just need to add it. I added one to my PM800.

The saw listed on e-bay is a PM850. The seller did get back to me with the model number.

As noted some have the port drilled and some don't, but it is no big deal to drill. Finding a DSP valve is another issue as it is unique due to its coarse threads. Bob15, if you have a source for these valves please send me a PM as I need some. Thanks, Ron

If he 'has an idea what's it's worth' why doesn't he state that/ask for that, instead of stating how he will be offended by 'lowball' offers without letting us know what he considers 'lowball' to be?

When I post something on CL I post what I want and am happy if I get that. I simply ignore lowball offers. These guys should not be complaining about playing a game if they are the ones starting with the games.

I don't even mess with guys like that. If there's no price, I carry on. Doesn't matter what you offer, he's gonna arse around to see if anybody will go more.

If he wants to take bids, put it on ebay.

Minor CL Rant/Vent

Had good experiences selling a bunch of stuff on CL recently - good stuff, not junk. Clearing out the garage. Then there was this woman . . . , e-mailed me several times about an item . . . , showed up late . . . , said she wanted to buy it . . . ,did not have money with her . . . (would I take a check? NO), told her I would hold it for her for a day . . . , did not return messages. . . , finally reached her and she wanted to think about it more and maybe I would lower the price . . . ? Hung up on her, called the next guy on the list, gone within an hour.

She ought to be damned glad it wasn't me. I'd have let loose a string of expletives that would make Lucifer himself blush. I can't friggin' stand that crap! :msp_cursing:

That seem like a very good deal.................go get it

The bar and chains are worth 1/2 the asking price.

I agree with you guys. That is certainly a PM850. I could also use one of those coarse thread DSP valves. An AS member (who lives within a couple hours of me, and has a limp)
has a nice PM800 without a DSP valve. He has stated that he'd like to retrofit with a DSP valve if possible. If you'd PM me your source of these course thread DSP valve I'll see that he's taken care of.:D

That looks familiar. Mine's not quite as nice. If it was, I wouldn't be sending it off to someone else...:D
