ive found when in sticky brushy terrian a long bar isnt wanted you dont want your bar tip much past the wood your cutn. youl be fightn to keep your footing aswell as keeping the bar out of the dirt. hard to do when cutn 10" wood on hillside with willows agaisnt your back and 25" bar.
 
Speak for yourself but my 660 only weighs a couple lbs more than a 460. With a lightweight bar more like 1lb... And will stomp a 460..

I dont know about all this "stomping" stuff. In smaller wood, I dont see a "stomping" happening. That said, In bigger wood, the 660 will "stomp" it, no contest.
