Clearing land and cut a low hanging branch Noticed it was covered with white fuzz that was moving. Took a picture and then ...what do you think happened?

Got stung and stung and stung some more by bees with black and yellow strips on the rear section.

Don’t have a clue yet. You can see two red eyes in the first pic. I didn’t think bees , larva or pupa, left the nest. They develop fully. Maybe the bees and the white things were not connected?

Don’t have a clue yet. You can see two red eyes in the first pic. I didn’t think bees , larva or pupa, left the nest. They develop fully. Maybe the bees and the white things were not connected?

The white stuff might be hemlock woolly adelgid.

Or they might be the crawler stage of a scale insect.
