Iowa GTG

Guys---I had a great time at Stout. I really like trying out others saws and watching others making chips fly! Another thing is all the information that is shared is great.Lets do it again next year.

Thanks for that video Mitch, you know that Jeff and the 600 Series saws have a lot in common, not too flashy, maybe a bit heavy, but pretty reliable where it's needed.

Modified Mark - I am sure we could find a place for you to spend a night, you might have to sleep in my shop with the McCulloch's however...

Mark

Nice offer there Mark. From what I have seen of your shop, that would be better then a Holiday Inn. :)

I can get along with McCullochs just fine. :givebeer:

Just want to say thanks to everyone who was involved in preparing for the GTG. I had a great time and am really glad I finally got to see in person some of the great saws that get posted on this site.

Special thanks to mweba for providing the space and putting on a chain spinning class. :greenchainsaw:

LOL ya don't rely on me to count out your drivers:dizzy:

As many before me have said, it was a great time. Mitch and Mark did a great job of site selection and setting up. The food was great, and I was so good to see old friends and meet new ones. I couldn't have had more fun if I was twins. JR

I can see a chain layout chart permanently in the back of your truck in the near future.

B.T.W. You have me looking for a 394 now. I think it would have been best to admire from a distance, those things are highly contagious.

It is the one "modern" saw I will never part with. Wish I had a long bar at the GTG, thats were she really shines.

I know there are more pics out there. Couple guys walking around snapping the whole time. Who's got em?!

Great big thanks from my dad and myself.. We really had a good time and got to run some bad @$$ saws and meet some really great people.. The bug has gotten to me and I want you all to kick around the idea of a spring Test & Tune at my acreage in Belle Plaine.. I was thinking like Apr 30ish.. Please let me know what you think.. I will talk to the local sawmill and see if he will donate the logs for us use.. Thanks again to all that was involved Saturday..

A thanks to all for the good time on saturday. Though it was a little windy I still had a good time to meet some new people. Also it was impressive to see in person the McCulloch Museum of Dike, IA. as well. I will defently try to make it down there for the next one.

(Hope Josh gets better soon, too.)
