Is my new 550xp missing a hose from the tank vent?

Just happened to notice what looks like the tank vent...the white thing in the photo....and there's no hose attached to the end like there is on the 346xp.

Is there supposed to be a hose attached to it....or is it right as shown in the photo?

Ipl also showed hose on the 2012 562xpg I replaced crank bearings on. Cleaned complete garage and went through garbage before going to Husqvarna dealer next morning to see a 550 just like that brand new [emoji34]No hose. 562 has ran fine

My 550 doesn't have it, the 562 does. I looked at a few saws at the dealer last month when I noticed this & some saws look like the 562 some like the 550. They had a 562 without the hose & a 545 with it, not sure what it means.

It is fine like that. Noticed the same thing on my 562 and asked the dealer (spike60). He checked into it and let me know that's the way it's supposed to be.

My 55o is just like that, no hose and runs great.

Looking at some IPLs, it looks like the newer saws don't have it, while the older ones do.
