Is this bar still ok?

So I got myself a Jonsered 451, with what appears to be the original Sandvik bar. I wire brushed the dirt and surface rust of and it looks pretty good, but definitely needs to be dressed as there is a palpable burr along the rails. My question is more about a small splay of the rails I noticed at the mount end. It's small, going from 0.1" at the mount end to 0.68" a few inches towards the sprocket (see images).

Is this a significant splay and the bar has to be junked or not worry about it?

Your bar looks good to me. Can't imagine how that little wideness at the end could trouble anything. Seems like I've seen that commonly, but can't guarantee such.

There’s a tool for squeezing the rails on chainsaw bars closed.

Or a hammer, anvil, and cold chisel/flathead screwdriver in case you go a bit too far.

Tried the vise but the steel just flexed and returned to the "splayed" position.

Woah...from 1/10" to 11/16" in a few inches??? I'd say she's plum wallered out and gonna need a transmission rebuild!

Clean up the burr and run it. The sprocket tips are often sized to run .050 and .058, or .058 and .064. No worries there. The tail end seems fine imo as well.

Great bar to cut you way to freeing your $130.00 pinched one if that ever happens to you. I clear trails and bring a few extra bits and pieces along. They ain't that heavy. If I were a bar that wood be me. I would brag about my fish tat-too!

I think that may be a lens effect. I'll confirm when I get home.

J/K...as others said, you could close it up a bit again if you wanted...

Tried squeezing it with the vise but it just flexed and returned to original position.
