Ben trying to do some searching, and keep coming to dead ends.

The 670 super is 50mm bore, and has closed transfers. The impulse comes off the side of the cylinder.

Im needing a piston and rings for one, and Baileys site is a little :dizzy: when it comes to the 670,266, and 268 pistons.

Whats the difference in the 266 and 268?

The 266 uses a full skirt piston and a 268xp closed port uses the same windowed piston as the 670 Jonsered. The later 268 saws used a open port cylinder with a piston with no windows. Rick!

Yes as Rick said a 268XP piston is the same as for the 670.....but make sure it's the XP as the later "Special" used a slab sided piston (like an early 61) and an open port Gillardoni cyl. Again as Rick said. But my understanding is that the 266 used a windowed piston same as the 268XP and the 670. The one to stay away from is the non XP 268...

The early mahle windowed pistons had the skirt extend all the way around the bottom of the piston but still was windowed...
