The design of the combustion chamber.......and the port timing numbers.

They both sorta suck.

Which pretty much proves a point I've been saying for a good while.

It's not port timing that determines RPM........it's engine design.

Do any of you guys use high temp paint/clear on your cylinders after you blast and clean them.
I always have done it on aluminum car parts. Just seems easier to keep clean.

Thanks for your help.

I never have.Dude in the Swap meet a while back done some cylinders in Bling Bling Black though.Always Heard conflicting stories though on heat dissipation.Of course some of the Cycle manufacturers used to paint the Air cooled Cylinders in the 70's and 80's.May try it on a MS260 i'm building Next.

I was thinking about the dissipation too. But Harley has been doing the black wrinkle finish the there cylinders for a long time so it can't be to bad.

Thanks for your help.

Next time i get out to that building i'll hunt for that cylinder and snap a pic of it. A builder had ported my 076 before i got it, and its not much more ballsy than my 075. Its just a fat gas hog, but it works.
