Also I have all the serial numbers of all the saws I have bought written down. So if they were stolen I would report the numbers to Stihl and the law, and if they were recovered, I would get them back. That only happens here about 10% of the time here though.

Yes, I had the serial numbers and the original reciepts, and did that.

Nice thought, but it was in a house fire.

Ah, well... burning to death is about as bad a way as you can go. Paid back in full. Sad if those saws went up in flames too though. Two of the best saws ever made: the 372 and the 361. RIP saws...
