When in a man lift bucket, do you tether your saw with a lanyard? Or if something happens, do you want the saw to fall away from you? Thanks.

Most guys don't tether, but I do here and there depending on the job.

Last week someone's saw popped out of the bucket scabbard when they weren't paying attention to there positioning and they placed too much pressure on a branch with the bucket and then moved forward releasing the tension and the branch sprung up and hit the arm sending the chainsaw flying. That was all due to a lack of experience.

I like to tether bucket saws but often find others dont, i seen a few dropped saws close calls..
if tether i use a light snaps or lanyard that will break away if saw has to go overboard i dont want it yank slew the bucket as well

wedges when logging from bucket or harness too need a tag line as they tend to fall away and your helmet clip it on the wind or limbs will send it flying
