Well two of em did anyway.

All I had planned today was clean up the yard.
Lotsa little limbs blown after windstorm the other day.
(My yard is full of elm trees)
Also need to trim up the hedge in front of the house as it was COMPLETLY out of hand.

I thought I'll just take the 192T....work fine for everything I need to do.
(Never start a job without a back-up).
She was real hard starting and then accelerated poorly...run erratically a little, then die. (over and over and over)
I ran this saw just last month and it ran fine.
I cleaned it up and ran it out of gas the last time I used it.
Running fresh 93 gas and Stihl Ultra.

Ten miles back to town (my shop) and grab the little Echo 280 E.
As I was heading out the door I thought....better grab another one....might save a trip. Went back and got the little Makita 401.

Sure enough ran the little Echo bout 10 minutes and it threw the chain.
Tool I got won't fit them itty bitty nuts.
Family has what few tools I have at home scattered to hell.
Gas up the Makita and got er dun without a hitch.

Come back to the shop and unload everything and put away.

Decide I'll have a look at the 192 and....you guessed it....runs perfect!
Let it warm up good and still not a bobble.

Put the tach on it and with the H all the way open (haven't fooled with this saw) she turns 14,300.
This too fast?

Sounds high to me. Im not at the shop and dont remember exactly where the 192 should be but Im thinking around 9500-10000

WOW, wonder I ain't blowed it up!

Guess I better trim off the limiter tabs, huh?

Hope it ain't too late!

(Note to self, check out every used saw you buy from now on)

I could be wrong. If no one else has posted up by tomorrow, when I get the shop I will look it up.

My setup sheet is old,but the 191t is at 13k.Ya' might be just a little high.

Found it, set her at 13,500.

Thanks....makes me feel a little better I'm not 4000 RPM off!
H screw will only turn about 3/4ths before it hits the limiter tab.
I'll shave em off in the morning.

always found a safe method for this sort of thing is start the saw up at home and check it's running properly before heading out somewhere a long way off where it's a total F-up to drive back and get another...
