Hello, I am in need of getting someone with tree expertise to review two photographs of logs and review the “fingerprint” of the two, and tell me if they think these two logs are a match. Yes and no. Matching rings for patterns for time vs place, sure. Matching the genetics of two samples via PCR, sure. Photoshopping a this log vs that? Maybe, under very very specific circumstances. What this video is describing appears to be more like facial recognition than anything else.
