Mac 10-10

Can you Mac Guru's provide any information as to why the Mc Culloch 3-10 thru 10-10 series donot have spike log dogs on them. Where they an option because all of those saws that I have seen do not have them. Last week I had my 10-10 at the wood pile ( I try to run a full tank of gas thru it once a year or so)and it seems to me that would cut better if there were log dogs on the saw.

I was wondering that myself. thers the provision for a spike on it, but no spike.

If the spikes were anything like the ones that came with my 440 I would understand why they weren't there. Those spikes were way too long and were sharp enought that the saw would bury itself so deep in the wood that you couldn't get the saw back out. Not sure if that was the case with the 10 series though. Maybe Bob can shead some light on this one.
