Picked up this clean looking Pro Mac 10-10 at a fire sale price last weekend. Fiddled w/the recoil mechanism & the carb a bit and fwap, fwap, fwap, it was thumping away.
Unfortunately the previous owner tried to fix the starter himself and wound up losing the sawdust guard in the process. They seem to be unavailable online, so I'm wondering if anyone has MacGyver'd one of these? Basically, fabricated a new sawdust guard? If you have, I'd sure like to know what you made it out of & how it's worked out.
BTW, if anyone has a source for the guard let me know. I'm not hell-bent on making my own . . .
