A neighbor has me working on a Mac 310 in exchange for an old Dayton, my first 'paid' repair ;). Has anyone dealt with a tensioner problem on the Mac 310, or similar models? I haven't yet looked at it, but he said that he couldn't keep the chain tight long enough to get any work done.

I took a look at the saw last night, certainly don't like the pita design of it. I got the chain to tension, but didn't get to try to run it. As luck would have it, I dropped the handle and side cover, breaking the pin that attaches the handle to the brake coil. And I did this in front of my neighbor who owns the saw. Maybe a bad omen?

All input is appreciated, and please take a look the photos of the Dayton because I still haven't been able to ID it.
