Indeed I have a 450 and 380 in the attic, neither of which have a clutch...I went with the non keyed clutch, cleaned the bore and the shaft, did a little lapping, and cinched it down using a flex lok nut. Painted the clutch cover, installed the handle using my repaired lower brace, picked out a suitably used 32" bar and put it together.

I will try to put it in some wood tomorrow if the weather allows.

@Jethro 2t sniffer Hey Jethro would you be willing to whip up one of your snazzy spikes for my sp81? This one im working on is going to be back in business soon and could use a good spike! The motor is in great shape. Other than being super dirty when I brought it home, and like 10 of those long skinny stink bugs crawling out of it after I took off the starter cover off its in great shape. Didn't realize I needed to stock insecticides for working on saws. Grossed my wife out big time with that one hahaha.

In order of motor size I have a mac125 (123cc), model 73 (120cc gear drive), pm1000 (100cc), super44A (87cc), 1-53 (80cc), 250 (80cc), G-70 (72cc), pm610 (60cc) and an early 10-10A (50+cc). All of them get used in rotation then cleaned and displayed until the next go-round. The 73 is a beast with a long bar once you dig the spikes in and push. The 125 is a legend and deserves it. The pm 1000 cuts about like a 660 with a 32" bar on it (maybe a little more guts). the super 44A is heavy but suprisingly quick. The 1-53 and 250 cut about the same and share a bar. The 10-10 is one of the strongest saws in this size segment that I have ever used. Oh yeah..... I almost forgot about the little mini mac 6 top handle.
i to love my McCullochs here is my promac 4300 70cc ripper!!!!!

Glad I finally came over here and found you guys from all the Facebook groups. Looking forward to all the good info and nice folks associated with these saws!

A warm welcome aboard. They're all good chaps on here.

And enjoy the addiction. There is no hope of escape now mwaa ha ha haaaa

@Jethro 2t sniffer
Thanks for the warm welcome! My grandpa gave me my first saw when I was 12 or 13...I'm 25 now and love collecting, wrenching, and cutting with these saws! This is just a few of my favorites so far. Been talking with Bob Johnson and I'm getting a bunch of new parts for the SP70. Going to give her a full rebuild!

I had a fellow call me this morning wondering when I would have the museum open so he could drop off a saw, said he had a McCulloch saw with the book he no longer needed and wanted to give it to me.

I promised I would give it a good clean up and put it on display in the new shop as I already have an SP60 with the cold weather set up on display in the museum.

Hi guys, haven't been on in a while. I have been super busy with snowblowers and haven't messed with saws much. Still haven't gotten that SP81 together and I have also acquired this. I have 2 of these 3-10E now..... this one is complete, hope to make a runner as well as get the electric start working.

These are such a great idea I can't understand why they weren't refined along in development.
