Remember folks

ANSI makes suggestions
Osha enforces rules

Suggestions are not rules. Thats why the Arborist industry isnt governed. Their are only ANSI suggestions, NO OSHA rules. We fall in the same category as landscapers, the green industry.

Right on. ANSI isn't a regulatory or enforcement agency. It's a private non-profit "think tank".

This, from their web site:
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) coordinates the development and use of voluntary consensus standards in the United States and represents the needs and views of U.S. stakeholders in standardization forums around the globe.

So, saw manufacturers may elect to equip their saws to satisfy ANSI recommendations (thus to meet voluntary requirements), but that's not to satisfy mandated regulatory or legislated ones.

Internet new sales

Many of the dealer's I keep tabs for pricing on are now requesting you call them to purchase their Husky saws.

Seems change is here.

On a side note, some are no longer stocking the 359? Maybe what Spike60 said regarding its slow sales or something else.... I donno?
