I grew up cutting with my dad's 026. I always loved that saw.
I have had an MS 361 for a 7-8 years and it has been a great saw for me. I wanted something lighter for limbing and small jobs, but after searching for a few months and finding nothing but junk in the used 026 market, I bought a new MS241 last summer. It is a very nice saw, but still doesn't feel right to me.
The 241 is stock, so I am thinking about doing some mods to give it more power. What do most of you recommend? Is opening up the muffler enough to get the saw to have a little more go?
I would love to find a nice low-hour 026 and sell the 241, but it seems like they just don't exist.
