Hey all,
I have an old Stihl 025 that I rebuilt and put a chinese engine into. The thing runs great. I absolutely love it and it is my go to saw. To be honest, my stihl ms660 sort of just sits there now until i really need to cut something big.
So, I bought an .050 bar&chain combo from Baileys, but it does not fit due to the 025 not having a long enough adjustment section to tighten the chain.
Has anyone converted one of these to .050 before??
Thanks in advance

Tried a China engine . It lasted maybe 25 tanks of fuel before it went kablooie !! I’ve been using a 14” picco bar , same as my 200t . A 16 picco works well also . Tried a 16” .325 .063 and it did not have enough snot to pull it well . If the chain won’t snug Up you may have just got too long of a chain

025 takes a smaller mount bar then the 026 and up and the 024. May be that is what u got ? I take it you had a bar on the Chinese motor already and it fit ok, other wise I'd be comparing it to your original motor. I bought a chinese radiator once for a tractor, barely could get it to fit.
