Well...fired up the 361 last night after it sat for acouple months. It started as usual with a fresh tank of gas (it was run empty)...everything seemed just fine. Started cutting and the saw would stall/bog down and quit. Started playing with the saw abit and it would do the same thing even if I wasn't cutting...but would usually start back up after acouple pulls. Never had an issue with this saw, but any suggestions? The saw is acouple years old now, but I just cut firewood and every once in awhile, drop trees for friends and help out.

It could be to do with the carb standing dry or (part dry) for 2 months.
My stihl dealer don't recommend running a saw dry, even though it says to in the manual. He told me i would get less problems if i just put fuel preserve in the gas, so thats what i do, with no probs so far.
If any of my saws sit longer than 4-6 months, i empty the mix out and run it in the mower or car.
