i have read many similar threads but still need some clarification please.

will the part number 1122 790 9101 chain brake handle work with full wrap bars?

i have read 1122 790 9102 works, is that the only one that works?

i have a 1122 792 9103 and that does not work, it hits the bar.

thanks

Depends on which wrap handle you are intending to run. If yours is the old style then you will need the 9102. If your wrap is the newer style then you do not need to change the brake handle to 9102.

You can tell the old wrap vs new easily. The old wrap top handle runs parallel to the gunning sights. The clutch cover portion had a large radius.image.jpeg

The new 3/4 wrap top handle angle matches the 1/2 wrap angles (note it does not run parallel to the gunning sight). The clutch cover side has a smaller radius compared to the old style.

thank you that answers my questions perfectly! no other threads i have read show that there are new and old styles of 3/4 wrap bars.

i have the old style 3/4 wrap so i need the 9102 handle.

i also have a full wrap pro safey bar which will also require the 9102 handle.

Bringing this one back, I have an 066 flat top that had a half wrap, a friend have me a Stihl 3/4 wrap off his MS660 (new style) but the chain brake handle hits it and won't disengage the chain brake. The part number on my chain brake handle is 1122 792 9101, was the number 1122 790 9101 above a typo?

The 1122 792 9101 was the older version of the hand guard and the 1122 790 9101 is the current version. The newer version of the hand guard is used from serial no. 1 44 673 876. (1999) Originally it came from the 066.

I see, sounds like if I put the 1122 790 9101 on I should be good then. Thanks for the info
