MS660R VS MS661R ?

I'm really liking the 661. Im trying to talk my rich Stihlhead friend into buying one so I can play with it. So far since I've been on this forum he's bought a 362cm,441cm under my influence.

I have an odd ball saw collection. I use husky saws for firewood cutting and then I have a slew of old stihl saws (051, 075, 090, etc) plus a few more. I just got a new j red 2252 after hearing all the rave about them and seeing you moded 254 in action. The 2252 is an awesome saw out of the box and runs forever on a tank of fuel. Sorry to digress did I mention I like the 661.

I just hope anyone that reads this thread realizes just how much work went into building a MS660 that was capable of beating a stock MS661.

The MS661 is that good.

Factory 661 HP specs must be pretty accurate running that good. Stihl Engineers must have seen Chad's dyno results of his stock 660......not close to factory HP specs.

My vote is for your MM 362 in speed....but the 262 might surprise you.

I have them both, and the 661 is a whole different ballgame. It is that good out of the box, and I dont know about anyone else, but mine is definately stronger after the muffler mod !
