Dayuuuum, Mig, that's a lot of tree for your little 180. I'm glad you got 'er done with it, but you could benefit from adding a 50 cc to your collection if you get into wood that size very often.

One tip, the little PMN chain dulls pretty fast in dirty wood. You might want to try using a wire brush to clean off the dirt from the bark before you make your bucking cuts.
 
Just goes to show ya, almost any saw can do almost any job if it's sharp and you have the time. However, I do believe in using the right tool for the job. I ran my 018 into early retirement over working it.

Both are right.
This is to much tree for my little Ms 180, but I usually (90%) cut small timber, about 8-12''. This 20'' tree was an exception.

I would like to buy a powerful saw (the ms 361, of course!) but here they are really expensive. To much money for me and excessive money to cut only occasionally heavy trees. Maybe some day…

For now, I even can’t use a heavy saw because some shoulder injuries.
