I'm the same way. Spent a fair amount of time this spring using my ATV and snowplow/dozer blade to level out the east edge of the property, and then hauling in 6 ton of stone, unloading that by hand just to have a better place to stack my firewood 
I like everything but having to lift it into the truck I don't cut much in the heat of the summer, but every day I end up wishing it was cool enough to go out and get some cutt'n done I'm a bit of a wood snob, so I don't get too excited about dead or down trees unless it's at least white oak Having said, a good stand of black locust will give me more wood than a strip club
