Need Homie 330 Help.

Brother has a 330 that sat a while due to a broke recoil unit. I was able to find him one on the bay. Put on new recoil dumped old fuel added fresh mix and started on third pull. Ok saw idles fine revs great but as soon as you put it in wood it bogs and dies. What y'all think carb clean and rebuild time are something else. Thanks Ray.

Cracked intake boot. Put it in the wood and it flexes the AV's and openes up the crack in the boot leaning it out.
I'll bet it would lean out and pick up rpm if you took the chain off and tried it, putting a little upward tention on the bare bar.
It's a common problem with the 330. The part is cheap, but the half saw has to be broken down to change it. It's not hard, just kinda involved.
