What is the best way to rig down, say the bottom 25 feet or so of a spar leaning over a patio that’s not massive but 16-24 inches in diameter. You cannot butt tie it and and let the top slam into a fence or structure beneath you. Is the only way to rig it down in small sections ( like 2 or 3 foot) and have it tied in the middle so the pieces come down horizontal? Just trying to think if there is an easier more efficient way to handle a scenario like this. I guess some jobs are tedious and are just going to take some time. Thanks for the advice.

yup, been there a few times. Zero drop zone, all kinds of damagable stuff under you, you have to take it small piece by small piece. The lean can actually help.
