New 660

I had put my name down for a 660 to buy from a local shop here in Covington , La. I was waiting for about 3 weeks for them to get the saws in since they were back ordered. I went to Douglasville, Georgia this last weekend and happened to look up saws in the yellow pages . Saw a ACE hardware store that carried them,,so I went over and looked. To my surprise they had the largest stihl inventory I had ever seen . It was amazing and one nice setup. Well they had one 660 left and for a $173 savings from the local store I bought it. Never know what you find in a hardware store.

The local dealer here in covington , La was $1,173...... I bought it for $1,000 even in Douglasville, Georgia. They even accepted my business A. E. card.

Yeah the going rate I've seen here in NJ is just under 1K, maybe 950-990, depends on bar. They've been back ordered for 3 months in many places, but some other places have loads of them! Pays to make a call.

I got the 36" bar. I paid $934 plus tax. A lot better then the local places.

In Canada for a MS660 with 28" Bar I paid $1110.00 Cnd, Retail was $1245.00 and only 1 dealer offered a discount, all other Stihl Dealers were full retail only.
