New Echo CS 310 - When to MM?

Bought it brand new Thursday from a local dealer. That's what surprised me with it not having a cat. Is there anything on it that may have a build date?

I didn't take any pics before I started, but the end result is the same as that thread with just an empty can. I guess I got off easy with this one!

I bought a CS-352 in April and it had the catcon. The emissions regs haven't gone away. Unless Echo adds different tech to reduce emissions the catcon will stay. The OP must have lucked into a pre-emissions saw. Does it have the restrictors on the carb screws?

I removed the tabs on the restrictors and removed the catcon after the first tank.

It did have the restrictors, but I removed them so I could tune it properly. I'll look at the stickers and literature to see if I can find anything resembling a date code.

When did they start using the catcon in these?

I found a sticker with August 2016 on the side. Maybe just luck of the draw?
