Im assuming that the truck has Air Brakes. If it does you can mount a drop axle in front of the rear axle. That will take some weight off the front end. A little easier I think than removing and then remounting all the rear suspension and shortening the drie shaft.

O yes, I weld all my hitches and fabricate most of my attachments ect.
 
What'd you give for the truck?? I've got a box truck that's pretty much just like the original picture. My 466 now has 263k and is going strong.

That is a nice looking truck that is the cleanest looking motor I have seen that the truck wasn't new off the lot. I like the dump body those international motors will run forever with alittle bit of care. HOw many miles did the truck have on it?
