Yep the 3700 and 375 top end are the same. I think the 3700 is really a lot of bang for the buck on that saw. They run good but you can still find them at a reasonable price and there are still plenty of parts around for them. Where as the PP 395 and 4000 have become somewhat pricey and parts like the rings are very difficult to find.

The best running 4000 I have seen so far was Mopar Mike's at the GTG last year. That saw really cut fast. If I remember correctly it was wiggleworth who ported it.

I have the 4000 that Fat Nick had and was ported by Bsnelling but it did not compare to the Mopar Mikes's 4000. But Nick did that beautiful blued bar on it. They are all very cool saws.

Ah yes! I will second that opinion. I have had the plesure of running Mike's 4000. That is clearly the best 4000 I have ever run or seen!

Gregg,

What are these nitrile retrofits and where are you getting them from.
Thanks.
A couple years ago I managed to follow what some others had done and tracked down a bit of nylon insert nitrile. The material makes excellent diaphragms for the oil pumps using the original as a template. Carefully cut and punch.

Perhaps if there is interest from a few, I could look into placing another smaller order. I haven't talked to the company since then, but they are still in business. Wouldn't be too expensive and there would be enough for plenty of diaphragms. 0.017" thickness. A couple other folks here tried out the material.

Stocked up on Poulan Synthetic 2 stroke 1 gal bottles of mix.

After talking with locals over time I have learned most only mix 1gal or 2gal at a time.

Also I have to retune another saw coming back from me tuning on my KL-200 Klotz 100% Synthetic at 32:1. Then them mixing up Dino oil 50:1 and running it in their saw. Now saw wont idle and is to rich.
This is only the 2nd or 3rd time it has happened over the years.

But now I will mix a gal of this 40:1 Poulan Synthetic to tune other folks EQ too. Plus have on hand to sell them so they are not going to 50:1.

Poulan synthetic at 40:1 with ethanol free fuel is all I have been running in everything for a little over a year with great results.

I have to get some tank Sealer for the 6800. It leaks in the seam. Runs awesome though.
The 2800 is one of my favorite saws. I've put a lot of tanks through it and cut down 20+ trees. I also used it to cut all the p/t 10"x10" timbers in a set of stairs I built. It hasn't missed a beat and I never felt it short on power

What's the bow p# for a 3400?

You can put me down for some if you do decide to get some more.
