Here I was thinking you weren't into the exotic plastic purple clam shells. (Or is this no relation to the Wild Thing)
Man I hope someone enlighten you after that post. ;)

Not a clamshell. Mag cased pro built and runs with the husky 262 stihl 036 saws. ;)

Just 1 of probably 10-12 or more of those I have found and sold over the years.

Last pic of another one I had and sold to member here, beside a 262 I sold too.

Ok I gotta ask. Will they really run with a 262? A 262 is a ripper of a saw. If so maaaan I gotta get me 1 of these things

Yes they will cut right with the 262 and 036. Owned a 262 036 with the 3750's. They have alittle less torque in the cuts and just a hair slower.

But after cutting with 262 and 3750 all day with a friend. Setting back we talked about them. Both of us preferred the 3750 for feel and handling over the 262. For what little it gave up in cuts. Would take a stop watch to be able to see times in cut. Torque difference you can feel.

Only 262 to date that impressed me stock was the 1990 ones with K&S and 87 carb. The rest were just hype from those first year saws IMHO

This is the hotrod. The other was the later oh hum ones.

Video of the 262 1990 one was in different ash piece and after rebuild too. But you can see. Forgot to strap the log in. ;)
Dry and like baseball bar hard

Then a 54cc 60cc poulan after rebuilds and a 036 I think too was all run in same wood one day.

The Poulan 3450,3750 and the Poulan Pro 330,380 are my favorite saw. I have a bunch of them and some parts to repair them too.

Yes the price is have gone nuts for sure. On another note a guy at work brought me a 306 a to get running. Someone in the family took a newer poulan after a death of a family member and left him the 306a. I told him not to be upset , he likely got the better end of the deal. Got it going already just needs some more love on tuning I think and the standard 5 lbs of gunk cleaned off of it.
