Much as it pains me, I guess any future business with my fine Canadian friends is going to be severely curtailed courtesy of the United States Postal service.
Just sold a saw to a fine member up in Ontario Canada, but didn't think the deal was going to go through after I found out how much they raised the price of shipping to there.
I have shipped there before, cant remember how long ago, maybe within the last year and I thought it was like $50. I checked the other day and found that Priority is now the least expensive way and it now cost me 101.20 to ship a saw to Ontario with $300 insurance. :msp_ohmy:
I know the Canucks don't like UPS because of brokerage fees but now were pretty much screwed. Are the brokerage fees paid by the recipient after it arrives in Canada or is that included in the up front UPS cost?
The reason I ask is now according to UPS.com, they are now cheaper to me to ship to the same place in Canada I just shipped this saw to.
So to all my Canadian friends, I'm sorry but this really changes things....
