I hope this thread doesn't turn out to be like the one we had a while back where this guy promised to post a pic of this girl he was going to cut a tree down for. I think we kept that thing going for a couple of weeks, and no pic. I think I should find that thread and bump it. LOL

thanks for the heads up. sounds like you are a blessed man with a wife and a FIL as youve decribed. i hope MIL's cooking is of the same caliber.

Her mom is actually 100% italian(born in italy) and can cook like it. The only downfall is my wife was born a Canadian. Dad was american and mom was canadian citizen. so I married a canuk!!! But I am very blessed to end up with such a great wife!!

You sound a happy man medic. I used to think that blokes who had married high school sweethearts were missing out in some ways. But over the years have noticed that mates in that situation had happy marriages that worked.

Yup... I've been with my wife for 16 years... Married for 11 years... I'm 32 in October... You can do the math. ;)

Last year on the 4th my brother-in-law calls me up and asks to use a saw to take with him on their annual 4th of July camp out bash. Him and a bunch of his rich friends "camp out" in their 20 grand RV's at his 40 acre get away property. My BIL is a rich know it all SOB who looks down at people who have grease under their finger nails.
Last year I let him use one of my good saws. It was a 026 that I had rebuilt and was going to Ebay. Well, When I finally got it back it was in bad shape the chain was off it looked like he used it for a trencher. The clutch cover was full of bar oil and dirt and chewed up leaves. He called it a piece of #### and he just about didn't get enough wood cut for the night before the "blade", as he called it was dull.

Well he called again this year wanting to use another saw. I honestly don't know how many saws I own, I have a few. Me being the nice guy that I am dig an old beater Poulan S250 that was on it's last leg out of the pile and start getting it ready for him. I took the kill switch off and ground the little tab off the OFF-ON cover and turned the switch around so when it says ON, it's really OFF. When he came to get it he called and ask for me to meet him out out the highway, I live on a gravel road, he didn't want to get his camper or truck dirty picking it up. I said sure, no problem. When I met with him I told him I would show him how to start it. I knew what he would say, and he did, that is he knew how to start a saw, I just smiled and said of course, but I fired it up anyway to show him that it does run, knowing that he would not see the switch was in the OFF, but really ON position.

I did spend 5 minutes with a file dulling the chain just in case the SOB figures the switch out.
'
Happy 4th BIL I hope it doesn't get to chilly tonight.

PS Since your such a swell guy, you can keep the saw so you'll always have one. I know someone who can probably fix it for you if you have any problems:greenchainsaw::monkey:

BlackOak,

Hey, I hate to be the first to rain on the parade, but that has never stopped me, so here goes. I'd recommend a three step plan.

1) Grow a set of balz.

2) Tell your BIL you're not going to give/loan/lease him a saw and explain why.

3) Tell your wife what you told her brother and explain your reasoning.

Consider that most everyone on the planet has strong points and weak points. Family is about overlooking these and getting along.

Metals,

Well, pranks are one thing, but this is family. It's not me ruining your fun. Got that? Not me. It's your conscience.

LOL... He didn't put a bomb in his RV, he's just messing with him... Same stuff we'd do back and forth on the construction site.

All in good fun... Besides, his BIL sounds like a real tool.

Yup, more sport to be had this way.:)

Boys,

Yep, it's all fun 'til we see BlackOaks balz hanging from the mirror of his wife's minivan.

Would that be considered 'sport'?

By the description of the OP of his BIL....maybe they ran out of fuel, didn't bring any propane, and couldn't figure out the saw,......then they froze. :hmm3grin2orange:
I don't know, he did have enough brains to borrow a chainsaw from his BIL before leaving...he might have enough brains to close the windows on the motor home so he doesn't freeze...maybe not...

Only the flies will know what really happened, Mr. Know-It-All BIL wont tell the truth most likely...

Sorry fellers, I haven't got back on an up date. I had some bad news recently. My Mom been in the hospital and they found what they think is cancer in both lungs and a blood clot also in her right lung. They can't do a biopsy until they get the clot taken care of. She's is a 9 year survivor of two bouts of breast cancer. Please say a prayer for her.

I did see BIL at the hospital and he said he never got the saw started. He pulled until the starter rope broke. I smiled and told him to bring it over and I would get it fixed up for him. He ask what I thought of them Poulan Wildthings at Wally World. I said one would would probably work out fine for his camping trips, but I would fix up the other saw so he would have a loaner saw for his enemies. He said that's a great idea. I never told him what I did.
