I am surprised that no one is making a chain sharpener with a oil bath system. It seems that it would keep the teeth cooler while you are sharpening them. Getting ready to order a bench mount from Baileys and just starting to research the best grinder to buy. I usually buy somewhere in the middle/higher price range. Anyone got any suggestions?

Whatever grinder you get, you may want to consider a CBN coated grinding wheel. They're expensive, but you'll forget all about oil baths and the need for cooling.

There is no evidence of heat on a properly sharpened chain.

The coarseness of the wheel and no more material than what there is removed, the heat goes out with the chips.
