I've been using .404/.063 chain on my old C-72 Homey since it was new and haven't had any problems with the oil hole in the 21" Oregon hard nose bar plugging up. I bought a GB rim drive sprocket and decided to try running some 3/8/.063 chain. The drive links on the 3/8 chain are shorter than the .404 (.404 drive link goes about half way down in the bar oil hole, 3/8 about 1/4 way or less) which allows saw dust to collect and quickly (5-10 min. of cutting with bar buried in pine) plug the oil hole in the bar. Since 3/8 chain was an option on this saw from the factory and 3/8 sprockets are available for it I assume there is a way to get this saw to work with 3/8 chain. Is there a different bar for 3/8/.063 for this saw? Any ideas on how to get my bar to work with 3/8? Thanks, Lee
