I apologize in advance. I've spent days looking for the right coil that I need. I have the single key flywheel (1201a). I think I need a 1300 coil, but I have see I also have the chip on my saw. If I get a new coil do I still use the chip? One of many confusing parts is. Do I need a dog leg coil or a a "regular" one? My head is spinning over this saw. Thank you for any help.

Unfortunately, the bulletin that likely applied to this issue is not available on the mediacat, but this one is, which mentions the 0000 400 1300.

The bulletin number that likely applied was #22.1990

Thank you for the information. I have a spare coil from a 044 so I'll try it. This thing was driving my crazy. You rock!

That is an early 064 case that took the "dogleg" coil, or the original Bosch two-bolt hole coil that mounts different than the "universal" coil.

@L34 made an adapter to fit the universal coil, to the older 3-mount hole cases.

Some cases had 4-mount holes and accepted either type coil

The 046 "dogleg coil also fits/works per @wigglesworth

Here is all you need to know about using a 046 coil:

" The problem with the early 064 bosch coils is the bolt spacing on the coil. Some 064's have multiple mounting pads, but most early ones with the bosch coil do not.

You can use a 1128 000 1309 coil and use the top and bottom mounting holes if it will fit your case.

Here is a link I posted some pics in. Im too lazy to post em again."

The 1128 000 1309 is the "dogleg" 046 coil

Thank you for the added information. Any idea where I can get that 1309 dogleg 046 coil? I'm at a loss finding it online?
