I haven't noticed any problems oiling a 24. That is all I used for the first 6 months of use and cut at least 15 cord of firewood and the bar is still good. All hard wood.
Nice work! That's a great saw at a very nice price. As long as you don't run it over or lose it, it'll be tough to lose money on that one.
A 361 was my first saw. Very smooth. I'd agree with the muffler mod recommendation. I liked mine with a 20" bar or less. An 18" would be a real nice setup.
Practiced my tig skills, opened up the muffler, deleted every thing in it and opened up the exit port. Then tiged her shut and painted it, looks just like new!
Took it out and tuned it, seems to run great!
Those axes actually just showed up in the mail. They are Prandis and look pretty good for how cheap they were. Plan to mount one in this saw's case
