Well,I have not seen any Pseries advertising like that before! Ebay has some advertising stuff once in awhile.Usually from advertising sellers and poster sellers, manual sellers, those types of sellers.I have a few things collected so far.

I have a similar poster from that era for the larger saws. Pioneer powerfuls Pros built for the long haul. It has 2 ladies with the red Pioneer suspenders and a hot rod in the background. The girls are also wearing Pioneer belt buckles. The saws appear to be a p50 and P60. These must have been advertisement posters for dealers in there shops??? These are the only 2 I have seen. I am sure there are more out there.

Pioneer Saws

Here are a few more saws
The P20 is NOS never had gas or oil in it . Came with the case, wrench, oil & manual. The others are Farmsaw, Farmsaw II and a Farmlite

Very nice. What is your opinion of the farmsaw 2 versus the farmsaw ? I hear they have a better recoil but other than that ,I don't know much.

I didn't notice much difference in the Farmsaw and Farmsaw II. The Farmlite is way under powered for the size. It's the same as a P38 . An old Pioneer dealer I talked too last fall loved the orange farmsaw. He sold them like hotcakes. They may have not been the best saw made but were one of Pioneer's best sellers.

What is the biggest cylinder that will fit on the Orange Farmsaw? I got one here that has a cylinder grafted on it that has a top of the cyl decomp and the comp is really high. The shroud has been modded to fit around the cylinderhead and the existing starter mechanism has a hard job turning it over.

Sounds like someone has tampered with it to say the least. The only 2 jugs that would be close would be a P42 and a P45. The farmsaw coil would bolt up ok they are the only 2 that has a top decomp the would come close to fitting. A larger P50 or 60 cylinder would be a major cob job. I have a P50 with a P62 cylinder, P60 piston & rings and ignition and flywheel from a P42. The P40 used the same rewind on the early models as the Farmsaw. When they improved it they should have scrapped that system for good.
You will have to remove the muffler and measure the bore, then we will know

Thanks, some day I will get around to doing that. I picked up another orange Farmsaw that must have had straight gas run through it on the first day of its life as it looks unused but the piston has some scoring on it, will see when I tear it down.

The Farmsaws are nice saws for cutting but their reliability is really compromised by those plastic starter parts and flimsy yoke spring. The beefier starter mechanism is the one thing that really sets the P-series saws apart and makes them infinitely more trustworthy. I have not had one fail, even a badly worn one.

Almost NOS

Here are some pics of the P62 I built from mostly nos parts. There are more pics and info in this thread... http://www.arboristsite.com/showthread.php?t=142517

Showoff!:) That is probably the best looking saw I've ever seen.

LOL.. Thanks again. There's a few guys here that pretty much stay in the Pioneer thread. Some of the parts came from them.

I also wanted to add that before I applied the decals, I sent them to Joe at Sugar Creek Supply so he could scan them and be able to produce decal kits for the Pioneer/Partner HP saws. They should be available soon. :)

I would like to get a clutch cover for the P62 that has a chain brake in it so it doesn't throw chips out the hole for it.

Does your cover have any of the brake parts in it? I may have a brake handle, the band can be hard to find though.

No it doesn't have anything in it that I remember. I'll check for sure tomorrow.

Ed, as a guy who has done a resto like that I know how painstaking it can be.

It's been a while since I've seen a great P-series resto and I am absolutely in awe. Beautiful work!

That P62 might just be the inspiration that gets me off my butt to finish my P52! Arghh, too many projects!

Thanks Brendon, your P41 resto is what inspired me. (page 111 for those that haven't seen it)

I was sure hoping that someone would do one of those orange ones! I have the same saw, unrestored but in great shape. I might order up a decal set for it once they become available. I'm glad those parts are going to a great cause. And thanks for the comments on my P42, means a lot. It was a labour of love I shall not soon forget.

Ed,I was wondering when you were going to post that baby up on this thread!Sure glad you did!How many hours do you think you put into it?
