Pioneer chainsaws

I haven't found many saws lately but I was able to pick up these two signs this week. I got both sign faces from a lighted early Pioneer sign and my favourite is the Pioneer Pete Poster that came from a local Pioneer dealership

Those are great signs,pioneer Pete is super cool.

A pair of big JA saws that I picked up on my trip to the USA/Canada. With a bit of TLC and cleaning they should come up ok.

I just picked up a dump find 1074 in nice shape that my dump searching friend from the north country found for me.. Even the AF cover is intact which is the only thing that's noteworthy.

Very nice shape, much like the one I got a few years ago, found in the dumpster also, it still had its original bill of sale taped to the front handle. Likely never run as the paper bill of sale wasn`t even dirty.

Will a Poulan 455 top end work on a p-41 case.

If the cylinder will bolt on the base you will also need a P45 ignition and flywheel. I have been thinking about trying that as well.

Thanks for the response.I have been doing some research and the pioneer/partner saws all use the same flywheel and ignition.I'm not sure about the base mounting, the case part numbers changed.It would be nice to have a few more cc's and a more reliable ignition.

Thank you for the compliment, I love it so far.I really wasn't looking for it kind of stumbled across it.I was looking for a p-51 at the time,but i'm very glad i got this saw.

You have a great looking saw their , Treasure it and it will last forever. Never seen the mod 2 holes in the muffler cover before though.

Go figure it was a forest service saw,no spark arrestor and the 2 drilled out holes.This one might be a resto in the future.

Nice one Tim, Don't lean on the AC cover while starting - don't ask how I know! They are feisty saw but will give you white finger quickly.
