Hi guys, I have an old Pioneer 3071 that had a rotted tank fuel line. I managed to get it out, but having a heck of a time figuring out how to get the new one on without cracking the case open. The 3071 has a small aluminum nib fitting on the inside of the tank that it needs to press fit on to. It has a similar nib fitting on the outside of the tank for the line to the carb. Any tips, tricks or ideas on how to do this?

Shortly after posting I figured out how to attach using a piece of stiff steel wire. I fished the wire through the inlet on the outer nipple near the carb. Pulled the wire through and out of the tank. Strung the fuel line over the wire and attached a cotter pin on the end. Then pulled the wire from the carb side and was able to pull the gas line on to the nipple in the tank. Worked really slick. Very glad I didn't need to crack the case/tank.
