As much as I hate to admit it, Dave's 346 is real strong, I ran it Monday, bad carb and all.

thanks Ron. That saw has been in service cutting pulp for 10 years. Carb is in the works, then we will run it again and see how it does.

There have been a lot of threads in the past asking about ported work saws and there longevity.
10 years sounds real good.Saw was still running to,just lost a little compression and needed to be rerung and carb work.

Unless you are a operator with light hands and really high rakers on a chain. I would stick to 7T 3/8 IMO. 7T is what I ran on my race 5000 too.
