I have absolutely no idea of the value of this thing, the only recent promac listing I saw was removed. Maybe $100-150, clearly not $950, that was to get you to look at the pictures.

I bought a pile of saws off an old timer & this was one of them. The p/c are lightly scored, NOT from running lean. I’m betting he picked this thing up after sitting 10 years & gave it some yanks-yep, it’s still got compression. I dumped a ton of mix through the plug hole & turned it over a bunch when I got it. It did have compression but the decompressor wouldn’t stay shut so I don’t have an actual comp number. I only disassembled far enough to look into the cylinder, never tried to fire it. Saw is complete minus brake. Everything is in decent condition considering its age. It appears all the factory hardware was in place but I have not tinkered with anything this vintage in 15 years so it’s hard to tell what’s oem. I do not know if the cylinder can be honed out. The “long block” is still assembled. I’d prefer to trade (cash offers entertained) for similar displacement stihl in any condition as I have lots of spares for Stihls or 2A related items or even coins. Ideally an 036, 360 or 440. I have a ported 025 (yea, I was bored during lockdowns) a clean 026 pro & another good running but cosmetically rough 026 or a near mint 290 I can add to a trade deal. PM questions or offers.

Let’s find this thing a new home. Somebody’s gotta need something off of it if not interested in repairing it. Let’s get some offers on the table. Money is of little interest. You’ve gotta have something a contractor who’s into motorcycles, 2a & has 2 big dogs would/could use. Yea, the ride is going to cost nearly as much as the saws worth so make some offers & shipping will be a wash.
