ps-7900 stock vs 6401 w/ 84cc bb kit

Which is better?? Seems they should be real close. Any have these two and have a working opinion.

FWIW, that's not a Baileys BB kit. The only experience I have with the Baileys kit was with a pre-production prototype. It was just a hair stronger than a stock 7900.

i have three 79cc saws and a baileys BB. i don't think there is any significant difference bw the two other than the price and quality. where the BB gains some displacement, it gives up in tranfer size and port shape. have a look at this thread-

I thought dolmar and makita came from same place.

Price is pretty close

The 6401BB P&C is after market and might not be the same quality as the 7900.
7900 might out last the 6401BB.

yes..... the first BB i received was returned bc the cylinder plating did not go all of the way to the top. the second one was better. also, the port's shape will probably need some improvement. the transfer ports on mine looked like jelly beans. i took the foredom to mine to square them up some. the 79cc kit is a bolt and go process.
