I know there is probably not a "one size fits all" answer to this question but here it goes. I have a friend who is going to have several ash trees dropped in her yard. She does not want to keep the wood and asked if I was interested in it. Of course, I said yes. The problem is that some of the trees are 2-3' in diameter at the base. I have no problem cutting and splitting wood that size. My problem is that I do not have the equipment to load and haul it. In general, are you guys willing to haul the wood to a separate location or is it a situation that if the wood is not going back to your operation the client is on their own. If so, how much do you charge or what would be a reasonable charge? Once cut and split it will probably result in several cords so it would be worth it for me to pay a fair charge for mileage, fuel, my convenience, etc. Cutting and splitting on site is really not an option due to time constraints.
